Being a photographer is a lot more than taking pretty pictures. Photographers research and purchase large amounts of equipment to do their job, have to master advanced editing techniques, and of course, build and maintain a client base. Their work requires dedication, patience, and a desire to understand fundamental photographic principles.

Photographers often work in a variety of settings. Some photographers have their own studios and control their environment using backdrops and artificial lighting. Others work outdoors, using natural or urban settings, and natural light from the sun as their lighting source. Photographers can obviously work in either environment and often do so, based on their client's needs. Their individual style as an artist may also dictate where they tend to shoot.

As an art form that relies so heavily on a quality light source, The Makeup Light is a perfect solution for photographers. Our light panels project beautiful, daylight-balanced light onto any subject, revealing exquisite details and rich, vibrant colors. The size of light panel is really up to the artist, although the Key Light will be the most compact option for traveling photographers. Since photographers are often moving their light source in more open spaces, we suggest mounting your light on a folding portable Light Stand with adjustable Gooseneck, or a highly stable Floor Stand in a permanent studio environment.

** Quick Note: Place your lights slightly above your subject, with the light projecting downward. Allow the light to project over your shoulder and onto your subject - do not stand directly in front of the light panel. Lightly tap the Power Button to dim the light as needed. The Makeup Light is ideal for both makeup application and photography of artistry work.
